The purpose of this act is to override the unnecessary regulations obstructing the VPD’s ability to properly perform their duties..
All officers of the law are permitted to own, carry, and use all firearms, as long as they are within legal jurisdiction, and they may be used to injure or kill any criminal that lethal force is deemed necessary to use to stop, thereby abolishing the regulation instated that forces officers of the VPD to only use handguns or M16s.
Officers may use lethal force (though it should be avoided if possible) against any criminal if any of the following conditions are true:
-He/she is using drugs that increase movement speed.
-He/she is atop a building.
-He/she is using force (lethal or non-lethal) in an attempt to harm people and/or escape.
-He/she is an immediate danger to any innocent person(s). (If possible, non-lethal force is recommended, though not required.)
-He/she has been declared a national threat by the Sec. Of Defense (with a written report of why and evidence) (under these circumstances, it is preferred that the Army and/or Navy deal with the threat(s))
This article thereby abolishes the regulation forcing officers to not use lethal force to stop criminals, which in turn will save their lives and stop criminals.
Under the condition no surgeons/doctors are online to help a dying criminal, the law that states criminals must be treated before being imprisoned is voided.
